Who we are

The American Women's Club of Luxembourg was founded in 1959. Its mission is to foster and encourage social, educational, cultural and philanthropic activities among its members in Luxembourg and to assist in furthering American-Luxembourg relations.

Next brunch February 10th

Registration from 9:15 a.m./Program 10 a.m. at the Restaurant Paul Eischen in Capellen. The cost is 15 euros per member and 20 euros per guest or walk-in.

Welcome Coffee February 18th

During the vacation week those of you who are new to Luxembourg may not be traveling and therefore we're having the only welcome coffee that week. Please join us!

Moving to a new country /culture brings a new set of experiences - sometimes challenging, sometimes frustrating and sometimes exciting. (DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR? The next clubhouse workshop will take place on Friday 26th Feb at 10am until 12am led by Monika Chauhan-Stok. Monika is an experienced and accomplished professional - an expert in cross culture, diversity and international management training. Please join us if you have recently moved or not so recently and have experiences to share.

We will meet at one of Luxembourg's classic hotels, the Grand Hotel Cravat in Luxembourg City in a beautiful lounge at 7pm.

The update of Living in Luxembourg, the reference book so important to our club as well as appreciated by the community, will start now. Help Christine Heinerscheid and Suzy O'Connor to update the chapters by providing your input. They can't do it without you. They are also looking for volunteers to edit and check information. Get in shape! Join the Fitness Club

The new sessions are starting on January 4. They run on Monday and Wednesday mornings. If you can't commit to a regular schedule, you can join via drop-in sessions.

The FAWCO Foundation, the philanthropic arm of FAWCO, offers The Education Awards program that benefits FAWCO Club members and their families. Monetary awards of USD 3000-5000 are awarded depending on the category. The 2010 Education Awards Program was announced in August. Detailed information about the 2010 Education Awards Program.
