We Need You!

A wonderful way to meet new people, learn new skills or polish old ones is to get involved. The AWCL offers many volunteer positions and you won't find a nicer group of women anywhere. You may be interested in some of the positions below. You don't need experience just a willingness to help. Please contact the clubhouse if you're interested or have questions. To those already volunteering, we can't thank you enough. The AWCL wouldn't exist without you!

Please contact the clubhouse if you are interested. Only a few hours in the first part of the month needed.
No website design experience needed, just attention to detail and familiarity with using the computer for email, word, files.

Editor of The Grapevine

If you have ever wondered what it would be like to manage a publication, find out with The Grapevine. This monthly magazine offers so many possibilities. It's a great way to get your creative juices flowing and work with a wonderful team of people.

Grapevine Advertising

This job can be done from your home computer and doesn't involve soliciting. This position entails communicating with advertisers and the printer to make sure the correct ads are placed each month. The time commitment is around 2-3 hours per week.

Volunteers as Clubhouse Managers

Meet new people in a fun atmosphere as a clubhouse volunteer. In the meantime, stop by for a cup of coffee and meet our crew. Or better yet, sign up to work with our great volunteer crew

Activity chairs, Grapevine team member, website support and community projects.

Volunteers for 2010 Trick or Treat Event

We need at least 4-8 committed volunteers for 2010 Trick or Treat event. The sooner we get this started the easier it will be on all of us! We already have a chairwoman in place!
We need volunteers for the following:
  • Find a neighborhood
  • Contact the commune
  • Contact the neighborhood asking them to participate
  • Get information and directions for the Trick or Treat evening to clubhouse before September 1st 2010
  • Pick up candy from the AWCL
  • Distribute candy to participating houses
  • Have an onsite coordinator the evening of Trick or Treat
  • Have helpers the evening of Trick or Treat

The AWCL will help out with the following:

  • Writing a letter to the commune
  • Writing a letter to the neighborhood asking them to participate.
  • The AWCL will take care of the following:
  • Ordering and purchasing the candy
  • Purchasing the tickets
  • Selling the tickets
  • Sorting the candy
  • Selling hot dogs and beverages, the evening of the event.
