Kindness.  I wish everyone could have experienced the behind the scenes kindness various people and multiple organizations bestowed to make the "American Pancake Breakfast" a success to help children with special needs and their education.  As it stood, the 200+ people who attended reveled in this festive family fun day, dotted with colored balloon animals, ornamental face paintings, witty ventriloquist, upbeat guitar band music, generous hourly tombola and of course:  a scrumptious pancake feast in an ambient chateau environment, the Miami University of Luxembourg.

Just one example:  the Lea Linster crew had already pledged to donate half of its cookbook sales there to help APPAAL (Association des Parents de Personnes Atteintes d'Austime de Luxembourg asbl.) When they discovered we also had tombola, they graciously gave a dinner for two at Restaurant Lea Linster!  You can imagine how much this increased our tombola ticket sales! Carol McCarthy, one of our face painters, received a reward for her kindness by winning this coveted top Grand prize!

At this writing we will donate 3000 Euros to APPAAL from this fundraiser. If you couldn't attend, but want to still donate, please make your Euro transfer to this account:  BCEE LU75 0019 1000 7359 6000, and label it as "Pancake Fundraiser." Thanks.

Since this was a collaborative effort, we would like to thank and recognize our Financial Sponsors, Tombola Donors and Volunteers:
