I just have to thank the committee and activity chairs for the great job they are doing.
The new activities are thriving and the older ones have been revived. I know we tend to thank people at the end of the year, but it's just in my heart today. I really like what I'm seeing. I have had the pleasure of attending or just being around them at the clubhouse. The welcome coffees have been very well attended lately and we have some lovely new members, I hope you get a chance to meet them. I hope for the new members we find you at least one good connection that will help you feel at home here. All members are encouraged to come to the welcome coffees, maybe you have some experience and tips to share with a newcomer.
Yeah, we finally have a date for the Silent Auction, mark your calendars, it is May 6th which is a Thursday. The committee has been hard at work all year getting great items for you to bid on. It will be a great opportunity to see the newly renovated ambassador's residence and meet the new ambassador herself.
Come by the clubhouse and check out the lovely baskets created by your activity groups and buy some raffle tickets. The baskets will be at the March 17th brunch and the winners will be drawn that day. Don't miss the next brunch, it promises to be a fun time and the informational about the LAR (Luxembourg Air Rescue) is important for all of us to hear.
Don't forget to complete the Living in Luxembourg survey. We need your input to maintain the relevance of this book. Thank you.
Elections are coming up at the April brunch on the 21st. Candidate announcement will be made at the March 17th brunch meeting. This is the deadline to get your nomination forms in, so you still have time if you are interested in a board position for next year. There are also other committees that need new chairpersons and committee members. A notice will be coming out about the available positions. If you have a talent you would like to share or if you just want to learn about a position, call the clubhouse or contact the currently chair. We can always use an extra hand.
Thank you. Let's enjoy another month of our great activities. I hope to see you around.
