The Region 11 tour continues to the last two clubs: AWC Shanghai & AWC Korea, the host of the 2008 FAWCO Conference in Seoul.

AWC Shanghai was founded in 1996 and joined FAWCO the same year. Membership is comprised of 450 women from the international Shanghai community. AWCS is a social organization focused on enriching women's lives while living in Shanghai and assisting in adjusting to and embracing their new environment.

Their list of club activities includes a newcomer's orientation meeting ‘Huan Ying' (welcome in Mandarin), ex-pats teaching ex-pats, trips and tours, Chinese art, language and cooking. The club also has numerous small groups within the organization, such as book, writers and photo groups, tennis, golf and Bunco.

Club publications include the newsletter ‘The Spirit' and ‘The Shanghai Survival Guide'.

Philanthropy is important to AWC Shanghai and they have many community outreach projects which involve educational projects, ‘Life-line'- a telephone help-line directed to ex-pats in Shanghai, Gift Giving Tree Toy Drive and volunteer opportunities.

AWC Korea was founded in 1965 and has been a member of FAWCO since 1987. The purpose of the club is to form a network and expand friendships within a large resource group and to share the ‘Korean experience' with American and international women.

Every September they kick off the year with an information and business fair, where 60 businesses and organizations, who cater to the needs of ex-pats, host a table.

Activities include trips and cultural tours and the ‘Hello Friends' project helps the government's efforts to promote English language training nationwide. Native English speakers volunteer in rural schools to motivate children to learn English.

Philanthropic activities are an important part of the organization. AWC Korea actively supports welfare and service projects throughout Korea. The annual Charity Ball and The Second-Hand Rose Thrift Shop raise funds for charities selected by the Welfare Committee. Funding has gone to help mentally and physically disabled children, a counseling service for foreign laborers and women married to Koreans, renovating orphanages, emergency assistance and aid to North Korean children suffering from malnutrition and a home for women with HIV/AIDS.
